Discarnates or Stuck Souls
A discarnate is another term for what is commonly described as a ghost. When we are in body on Earth, we are incarnate. A discarnate is essentially a stuck or earthbound soul, that has failed to return to the light when the physical incarnation has finished.
What Happens to us When we Die?
Some people believe that when we die, that’s it, it’s all over, and there is no after life. Others believe that we are an eternal energy, usually known as a soul or spirit, that incarnates to have the experience of living in a physical body. When our physical body dies, our soul or spirit should return to where it came from, and may then choose to re-incarnate again for a new learning experience. There is a school of thought that human death is actually re-birth for our soul, as it returns home.
Sometimes however, when we die, a soul or spirit may fail to return ‘home’ and essentially gets stuck on the earth plane. Another name for a discarnate or ghost is an earthbound soul. The reasons souls get stuck on the earth plane are usually because they were overly attached to something in their human life such as power, money or an addiction. Another reason a soul gets stuck is that their physical life ended in shock; their human death was so sudden they are confused about why they exited their physical body and how to return.
Ghosts in the House
Every soul has a limited number of days to return to the light after physical death, and if they fail to return, they are essentially stuck until formally released back to the light. If their death was traumatic, they may be trapped in the cycle of repeating the trauma until their release. Discarnates will generally stay in the same place or walk ‘spirit pathways’. People who then move into the same spot are usually unaware they are living alongside discarnate beings. These stuck or Earthbound souls usually have a low level frequency, and this low vibrational energy can have a serious effect on the people living alongside. Occupants usually struggle with these low vibrational and detrimental energies, but there is usually no obvious explanation.
Spirit Attachments
A discarnate that had an addiction can be attracted to another person carrying the same addiction. For example, a stuck soul or ghost that was an alcoholic in their physical incarnation, may be seek out an incarnate alcoholic personality, so they can be close to the addictive energies. People in addictive lives often have a low vibration, and subsequently their aura can be damaged or torn. Discarnates will often use openings in the auric field to attach to people with a low vibration. This perpetuates a downward cycle, as attachments will lower a person’s energetic vibration, and their addictive lifestyle becomes even more entrenched.
Releasing Spirit Attachments and Rescuing Ghosts
An experienced spiritual healer or energy clearing practitioner will be able to check if you have a spirit attachment, stuck souls or ‘ghosts’ in your home. Releasing spirits or ghosts back to the light is usually a straightforward process, and essentially involves calling in higher beings to guide the stuck souls back ‘home’.
